I bet you are tired of today's high tech society; noise, rush, cell phones, email, text messaging, conference calls, machines, cars, planes, etc.
All this drives away the tranquility of spirit needed to reflect and consider heavenly things.
Take for instance shepherd life from more organic societies.

There is a kind of pastoral innocence in certain societies which still has a bit of the aroma of Paradise; the aroma of recollections of primitive revelation; the aroma of the first blessings of God.
I believe that in Lebanon 75 years ago, you could still find things like this.
