Saint Joseph helps save my friend’s business from the floods

LONGMONT — Art Maestas returned to his business Saturday not sure what damage had been done since flood waters forced him to evacuate on Thursday.

As it turns out, he may have gotten an assist from St. Joseph.

Maestas, who owns the Santa Fe Coffee and Burrito Co. on Main Street in Longmont, left a statue of the saint on top of a bowl on his carpet before he left the store. Saturday he found the statue still standing and mud that had not gone past the tile near the entrance.
